This month we continued with the National Coming Out Day theme by talking with the two creators of a new website called, anotetomykid.com. Patrick Wallace and Michael Volpatt created this site to provide a forum for parents to communicate their thoughts to their LGBT children after coming out. Since launching the site, they have received letters from all over the world.
On Outbeat Youth, Greg Miraglia talks with south Florida firefighter, Brett Dunckel, about the new website he created called youcanbeanything.com. This site features videos from LGBT professionals talking to youth about how they can be anything regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Finally, Greg catches up with Michael Huerta who is a young gay man running for mayor of his home town in Las Cruses, New Mexico. Michael is an amazing guy who could become the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in New Mexico.
