Meet The Outbeat Team

Jeff Basham is a occasional correspondent and contributing producer for all Outbeat Shows.  He has been on the air on Outbeat Radio since 2007.  Jeff works for the County of Sonoma Department of Transportation and Public Works, where he is the Information Technology Services Coordinator. In his spare time, he enjoys participating in community theatre, filmmaking, and many fundraising causes.  Jeff brings his diverse background to many social circles and enjoys keeping the LGBT Community informed of what is happening in our world. Gary Carnivele hosts Outbeat Collage – Out in the Arts on the third Sunday of each month. Gary is a journalist, filmmaker, screenwriter, and activist. As owner and editor of www.gaysonoma.com, the online version of We the People, which was the North Bay LGBT Community’s monthly newspaper for 17 years, he works with a dedicated staff to inform and entertain. Gary started We the People Productions, which produces films, music videos, and local programming. He lives with his personal partner, veterinarian Howard Rosner, in Sonoma surrounded by a vineyard. Dianna Grayer has been co-hosting Living Proof with her wife, Sheridan Gold on the first Sunday of every month since 2004. Dianna holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and has been a Marriage and Family Therapist since 1997, and has her private practice in Downtown Petaluma. She has written 5 children’s books, several self-help books, and offers Stepping into Fierceness workshops (see her website at http://www.drdiannagrayer.com). Dianna’s passion is to create materials to help others move through the obstacles resulting from negative voices that block experience and growth toward being free and expressing that freedom. When Dianna is not creating she is seeing clients, admiring nature, playing basketball, laughing, playing games with friends, eating good food, praying, being thankful, spending time with the love of her life, watching movies, and going to the beach. Sheridan Gold has been co-hosting Living Proof with Dianna Grayer, her wife of 41 years, on the first Sunday of each month since 2004. Retired from teaching Special Education in public school, Sheridan’s musicianship has been rediscovered! She considers herself a sound healer and plays her silver flute, Native American flute, handpan and hand drums for different groups and events. She presently teaches other women the thrill of West African drumming and facilitates drum circles, most notably with elders at Fountaingrove Lodge, Sonoma County’s LGBTQ Retirement Community. Sheridan and Dianna have raised 33 foster children and are currently the proud parents of their dog Sweet Pea, their foster daughter, 2 cats, 2 llamas and 2 chickens. Cheryl Kabanuck hosts “Notes To Live By”; an eclectic selection of music performed by LGBT artists and artists that are known as supportive allies to the LGBT community on the second Sunday of each month since 2018.  Occasionally bringing in musical guests into the studio for live performances. She used to co host a show at KPFA radio in Berkeley, “Focus On Women in Music”.  Cheryl is very active in the Sonoma County LGBT community.  She sits on the Board Of Directors of Sonoma County Pride and serves as a Committee member for Santa Rosa Gaydar.  She has worked for Stop AIDS Project and played with the politically active all women’s marching band “Sistahboom”. Cheryl was born and raised in Marin County and has lived in Sonoma County for over 30 years. Currently she makes her home in Santa Rosa. Greg Miraglia produces and hosts Outbeat News In Depth, a show that takes a more in depth look at some of the people and events making LGBT headlines at the local, national, and international level.  Greg is also the Anchor of the Outbeat Radio News that airs each week, and is the engineer for Living Proof on the 1st Sunday.  Greg is retired from Napa Valley College where he was the dean of career and online education. He has over 30 years of law enforcement experience and is the author of “Coming Out From The Badge” and “American Heroes Coming Out From Behind The Badge.  He is an adjunct professor in the LGBT Studies Program at Napa Valley College and adjunct professor at Santa Rosa Junior College.   He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Matthew Shepard Foundation and is the National Program Coordinator for Stop The Hate.  Greg and his husband live in Santa Rosa.
