Outbeat Extra – October 30, 2011

In October of 1998, a 21-year old college student  from the University of Wyoming named Matthew Shepard was brutally murdered in a vicious hate crime that shocked the entire world.  Matthew was a bright political science major who dreamed of some day changing the world.  Since his death, Matthew has changed in the world in ways he could never have imaged.  “Outbeat Radio Remembers Matthew Shepard And How He Changed The World” tells Matthew’s story and explores some of the many ways people were impacted by what happened to him.  We share some of the original music written about Matthew and hear from his parents and close friends.
